Schlagerstern Willingen – 9. Sauerland Open Air

The 2025 festival marked the 8th edition of Schlagerstern Willingen. With the choice of Willingen as the event location, the Hessian Sauerland has established itself as an important Schlager hotspot on the German festival calendar.

Big Schlager open-air on the festival grounds at the Sauerland Stern Hotel with ~15,000 Schlager fans. One-day format, program from 1 PM to 11 PM. Headliners from the German and international Schlager A-list.

The proven format has shaped the festival for years and brings audiences from the region as well as from neighboring federal states to the town. The annual edition contributes to Hesse's fixed festival calendar and is supported by local clubs, associations, and volunteers.
