Overview
The 2025 Schipperhöge, as every year in mid-January, was celebrated by the Shipmen's Brotherhood of 1635 in Lauenburg — with a ceremonial procession, the Lustige Person, ship models, and two festive balls.
2025 Review
In 2025, the Schipperhöge was also celebrated traditionally in January. The Saturday procession, as always, attracted thousands of onlookers from the Duchy of Lauenburg and neighbouring districts. The Lustige Person distributed sweets, the child ship bearers carried the Concordia and the beer barges through the old town, with the flags from 1811 to 1985 leading the way. The two festive balls marked the conclusion.
