Scherenburgfestspiele Gemünden am Main

The 2025 season continued the tradition dating back to 1908, reaffirming the reputation of the Scherenburgfestspiele as one of the most important open-air stages in Lower Franconia. As every year, the performances were presented outdoors on the medieval castle grounds high above Gemünden.

The dedicated ensemble of professional and ambitious theatre professionals once again put great effort into stage design, costumes, and lighting. In case of rain, the alternative venue ensured that performances could proceed.
