Edition 2025 — Vogelschießen Schalkau

The Schalkauer Vogelschießen 2025 took place, as every year, in early August at the Schießhausplatz. Four days of marksmen's festival with a traditional opening, beer tapping, Standela, and parade brought together the citizens of the small town and guests from the Sonneberg district.

The 2025 edition continued the long-standing tradition. The marksmen's clubs once again organized the prize shooting competitions, the traditional parade brought together all the town's associations, and the queen (or king) was solemnly proclaimed. The Vogelschießen once again confirmed its importance as the most significant folk festival in Schalkau and as a cherished traditional event in the southern Sonneberg district.
