Overview
The 2025 edition of the Upper Franconian Sheep Festival once again confirmed the event's central importance for the Upper Franconian sheep farming scene. Sheep breeders, families, and tradition enthusiasts gathered at the Alte Schäferei Ahorn for the annual animal show with its accompanying program.
Sheep judging, sheep shearing demonstrations, a youth competition, the popular "Guess the Ram's Weight" game, and lamb specialties at the food stalls characterized the day. The festival reaffirmed its role as a bridge between active sheep farming, rural traditions, and museum-based education in the Upper Franconian district of Coburg.
