Overview

The 2025 season of the Schäftlarner Konzerte continued the nearly six-decade-old tradition: international soloists and chamber orchestras presented a diverse classical program in the acoustically outstanding Schäftlarn monastery church — from Viennese Classicism to late Romanticism.

The 2025 season of the Schäftlarner Konzerte comprised about a dozen concerts between May and October. Soloists from the Munich Philharmonic, the Bavarian State Opera, and international chamber orchestras performed a program ranging from Viennese Classicism, Romanticism, to the Modern era. The concerts took place in the baroque monastery church of the Benedictine Abbey of Schäftlarn — one of the acoustically finest sacred spaces in Upper Bavaria. The season subscription was, as usual, well-sold, with individual concerts selling out. Artistic direction: Michael Forster.
