Overview

The 26th edition of Sauerland-Herbst brought together the international brass elite in the Hochsauerlandkreis again in autumn 2025. 20 concerts between Brilon, Meschede, Olsberg, Warstein, and Arnsberg, the German-Open Brass Band Competition, and workshops at the Südwestfalen Music Education Center marked the festival.

The 2025 edition consistently continued the decentralized festival approach: concerts in the town halls of Brilon, Meschede, and Olsberg, at Königsmünster Abbey, Grafschaft Monastery, and the Herdringen Open-Air Stage. Workshops, school projects, and the grand final concert in Brilon formed the framework of the festival.

Programme

The 26th edition followed the proven model: around 20 concerts over several weeks, school projects, the German-Open Brass Band Competition in Warstein, and the closing concert at the Brilon Stadthalle. Full archive documentation is available at sauerland-herbst.de.
