In 2025, the Sassnitz Christmas Market once again ushered in the Christmas season in the harbor town. In the old town, craft stalls, the scent of mulled wine and Christmas cookies, and atmospheric lights created a wintery atmosphere.
The family-friendly market was a cozy meeting place for locals and the few winter guests of the island of Rügen – a contemplative start to Advent, away from the summer peak season.
