Overview

The Sandhäuser Kerwe 2025 took place on the second weekend of October 2025. Four days of Kerwe program with barrel tapping, Kerwe pastor, ecumenical service, oysters from Lège-Cap-Ferret, and Frühschoppen on Monday. As always, a festival date with a special identity — asparagus municipality, SV Sandhausen, French partnership.

Mayor Hakan Günes managed to open the barrel with the second tap at the 2025 barrel tapping — an improvement compared to the previous year with 14 taps, which led to humorous speculation about family offspring. The Kerwe wedding took place as usual on Sunday, and the Kerwe pastor delivered rhyming sermons on local topics. The French partner municipality Lège-Cap-Ferret sold 3,000 oysters, raising over €4,800 — topped up to €5,500 by Mayor Günes for a municipal social fund.
