Overview

The 7th Sand Sculpture Exhibition Travemünde ran from mid-March to early November 2025 in the boat halls at Baggersand. In 2025, too, 25 international artists shaped over 100 monumental sculptures from several thousand cubic meters of special sand. The themes ranged from Hanseatic history to fairy tales — as usual, open daily from 10 am–6 pm, adults €12.50, children €8.50.

7th Edition 2025

The 2025 edition was a complete success — over 200,000 visitors came to the boat halls at Baggersand during the eight-month season. The thematic concept varied between Hanseatic history and the world of fairy tales, with a focus on the history of Travemünde and Lübeck. 25 international artists once again shaped over 100 sculptures, several up to five meters high.

The experience in 2025 — particularly the strong response from the family audience — led to the expansion of family elements and the children's sandbox for 2026.
