Overview
The Christmas and Baumkuchen Market 2025 offered, as usual, nearly six weeks of Advent atmosphere at Salzwedel's Rathausturmplatz. Demonstration baking of Salzwedel Baumkuchen, mulled wine, regional crafts, and a stage program characterized the event.
The 2025 edition followed the established concept. The extended opening hours on Advent weekends attracted day-trippers from Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, and the region. Salzwedel Baumkuchen remained the best-selling souvenir.
Programme
2025 Program: Opening in early November, demonstration baking of Salzwedel Baumkuchen on selected days, visit from St. Nicholas, stage program on Advent weekends with school choirs and brass bands. Documentation on salzwedel.de.
