The Bavarian-Bohemian Säumerfest 2025 took place on Saturday, July 19, and Sunday, July 20, 2025, in Grainet. Around St. Nicholas Church, visitors experienced two days of medieval camp life and the traditional Säumer procession.

The Säumerfest 2025 was celebrated on July 19 and 20, 2025. As in previous years, the Säumer set up their camp around St. Nicholas Church, bringing the history of salt trading on the Goldenen Steig to life.

The highlight was once again the historic Säumer procession with the entry of the salt merchants, accompanied by the Grainet brass band and guests from the Bohemian town of Prachatitz – a festival of German-Czech friendship in the Bavarian Forest.
