The 26th edition of the Saxon State Thanksgiving Festival was hosted by another Saxon municipality in 2025 — as every year, the festival changes its host. Three days of harvest crowns, direct marketers, agricultural machinery exhibitions, and the traditional parade shaped the format. In 2026, Wurzen will take over the hosting role.

State Thanksgiving Festival 2025 — Another Saxon Municipality

Since 1999, the Saxon State Thanksgiving Festival has moved annually through Saxon municipalities. In 2025, another town was in the spotlight; the format of the harvest crown exhibition by the Saxon Country Women's Association, the ecumenical Thanksgiving service, the agricultural technology show, the direct marketer market, and the grand parade on Sunday remains the same every year. With Wurzen, one of the most traditional towns in the Saxon Mulde region will host in 2026, together with the neighboring municipalities of Bennewitz, Lossatal, and Thallwitz.
