Overview

The RWTH Graduation Festival 2025 took place in September at Allianz Park – with approx. 6,500 visitors and 1,800 graduates. A classic large graduate celebration with speeches, certificate awarding, and cap tossing. One of Germany's largest graduate celebrations at Allianz Park Aachen. Approx. 6,500 visitors and approx. 1,800 graduates with speeches, certificate awarding, and cap tossing marked the September day.

The 2025 edition was the last with the traditional September date. In 2026, the event will exceptionally move to June due to the Equestrian World Championships.

Allianz Park dressage arena as the festive backdrop. Official awarding of certificates on the large stage, organized by faculty. Speeches by the Rector, Vice-Rector, prominent RWTH alumni, and representatives of sponsoring companies (Evonik, VDI, Accenture). Gowns and cap tossing as an Americanized university tradition. Live music and party atmosphere for graduates and families, several catering stalls with food and drinks.
