Edition 2025 — Rureifel Trail
The 2nd edition of the Rureifel Trail 2025 took place on an April Saturday with start and finish at Nideggen Castle. Over 1,500 runners from several countries completed the RET77, RET44+, RET22, and RET11 distances, as well as the Hike and Kids variants. The challenging Buntsandstein routes and the ascent to the Waldkapelle in Bergstein are considered hallmarks of the race. Organizer: Rahn Endurance Sports.
In 2025, the Rureifel Trail once again underscored its significance as one of Germany's largest one-day trail events. In changeable April weather, the first ultra-runners started the 77 km race early in the morning. The event was positively received by participants and local media, solidifying the RET's position as an ambitious highlight of the German trail running season.
