Rum Regatta — Herring Regatta Kappeln–Sønderborg — Edition 2025

The 2025 edition continued the proven format: four days of traditional sailing in the western Baltic Sea with legs from Kappeln → Sønderborg → Flensburg. The Herring Regatta opened the competition, the Flensburger Förde Regatta connected Denmark and Flensburg, and the finale was the Rum Regatta on the Flensburg Fjord.

As always, the atmosphere in the harbours was the main asset of the event: free access for the public, harbour concerts, ship viewings, and the opportunity to talk with crews from all over Northern Europe. The Skipper Party on Saturday evening in the Flensburg Maritime Museum Harbour is considered a social highlight of the Northern European traditional sailing scene.
