Edition 2022 — 35. Ruinen- und Heimatfest
The 34th Ruinen- und Heimatfest Elsterberg took place in August 2022. Three days of events at the castle ruins and on the market square, featuring a parade, medieval stalls, concerts, and fireworks. A tradition spanning generations, held every 4 years — the next edition is due in 2026.
Previous Edition 2022
The 34th edition in 2022 continued the decades-old tradition — and laid the groundwork for the anticipation of 2026. As is traditional, the program included a parade, a medieval camp in the castle ruins, showmen, stage music, and a concluding fireworks display. The festival strengthens the identity of Elsterberg's residents and the entire Vogtland region — every four years.
