Overview

In 2025, the Ruhpolding Georgiritt once again attracted numerous visitors to the Chiemgau region. Over 100 decorated horses, festive wagons, and the figure of St. George paraded from the village center to St. Valentin's Church, where a field mass and horse blessing were celebrated. Music and festivities marked the traditional St. George's Day.

The 2025 Georgiritt continued the centuries-old tradition: after the early morning cannon shots, the festive votive ride with over 100 horses and decorated floats proceeded from the Ruhpolding village center to St. Valentin's Church. A field mass and horse blessing took place there.

Throughout the day, music groups performed in the village, accompanied by food and festivities. The "Irgn-Ritt" once again confirmed its status as one of the most significant horse pilgrimages in the Chiemgau.
