In 2025, the Waldbühne Rügen once again hosted its May Eve celebration in the natural arena within the Rugard beech forest. The "Tanz in den Mai" format offered an open-air atmosphere with live acts and DJs from the Schlager and Dance genres. With this May Eve event, the Waldbühne traditionally kicks off its open-air season; the format has become a popular meeting point on Rügen for locals and holiday guests alike. The announcement for 2026 continues this successful format, cementing "Tanz in den Mai" as the season's opening event at Rugard.
