Rudolstadt 2025 — Preparation for the Double Anniversary

During 2025, Rudolstadt focused on the intensive preparation of the 2026 double anniversary. The Town Anniversary Office, led by Frank Grünert, coordinated conceptual work, program planning, recruitment of participants and sponsors, as well as research for the open-air exhibition on 1250 years of city history. In parallel, the traditional Rudolstadt Festival took place in July, which, with its own anniversary theme, pointed towards the following year. The «Head of the Week» initiative featuring historical personalities and «Rudolstadt Moves» (sports and wellness program) built anticipation and identification among the population.
