Overview

Sommersprossen 2025 continued the 30-year tradition of the Rottweil Chamber Music Festival. Under Florian Donderer as artistic director, international chamber musicians performed at the main venues: Erich Hauser Art Foundation, Rottenmünster Art Nouveau Hall, and Badhaus — a festival series that has established itself in the South German classical scene.

Sommersprossen 2025

Sommersprossen 2025 took place in late June / early July in Rottweil. Florian Donderer remained artistic director, responsible for the program since 2019. The festival format — combinations of classical string quartets, piano trios, and more experimental crossover programs — was continued.

As in previous years, the venues were the Erich Hauser Art Foundation (Saline) as the main stage, the Art Nouveau Hall of the Rottenmünster for more intimate concerts, and the Badhaus for special formats. The festival enjoys a loyal core audience from the region and is considered one of the most important chamber music series in Southern Germany.
