The Rottenbuch Heavy Horse Foal Market 2025 took place on Friday, September 5, all day at the Old Gardeners' Site. As Germany's largest heavy horse foal market, 60 to 100 South German heavy horse foals were evaluated by a specialist commission and then auctioned, as every year. Market stalls and a festival tent with traditional brass music accompanied the market day.
The 2025 edition continued the long-standing tradition on the first Friday of September. As in previous years, a specialist commission evaluated the delivered foals before they were auctioned to the highest bidder. Horse breeding associations, agriculture, and numerous visitors from southern Germany came to Rottenbuch.
The market once again confirmed its status as Germany's largest heavy horse foal auction and a firm fixture in the Pfaffenwinkel festival calendar.
