Overview

The 36th edition of 'Rossini in Wildbad' took place in late July/early August 2025 at the Grand Kursaal and Königliches Kurtheater in Bad Wildbad. With its proven concept of rare rediscoveries, popular Rossini works, and special events, the festival solidified its position as the second most important stage for international Rossini promotion after Pesaro. Antonino Fogliani again served as artistic director.

36th Edition 2025 — Solid Foundation

The 2025 edition was once again sold out. International Bel Canto lovers from Italy, Switzerland, Austria, England, the USA, and Japan came to Bad Wildbad again. In 2025, the festival presented a series of rediscoveries as well as Rossini's standard works, featuring soloists from the international Bel Canto scene and the festival's own orchestra under Antonino Fogliani.

Recordings from the festival are released as usual by Naxos and Bongiovanni — making Wildbad one of the most important recording production sites for Rossini worldwide. The 2025 edition concluded with the announcement of the 2026 program: the rediscovery of Sémiramis, in particular, generated international attention.
