Overview

The Rosenberg Festspiele Kronach 2025, as is traditional, took place from May to August on the Rosenberg Fortress. Three main productions alternated on the open-air stage, supplemented by special concerts and a cappella programmes. The festival is part of the "Freilicht Theater Dreieck Oberfranken" with Luisenburg and Trebgast.

Rosenberg Festspiele 2025

The 2025 edition continued the concept of summer open-air theatre on the Rosenberg Fortress: three main productions, plus special events and the integrated a cappella format. The mix of a historic venue and repertoire-strong productions once again attracted thousands of theatregoers from Upper Franconia and beyond.

An Established Summer Format

The collaboration with Luisenburg in Wunsiedel and Naturbühne Trebgast as the "Freilicht Theater Dreieck Oberfranken" (Open-Air Theatre Triangle Upper Franconia) once again strengthened the festival's supra-regional visibility.
