The 55th Rolandsfest Nordhausen took place from June 13 to 15, 2025, in Nordhausen's city center. Four stages with live music, the Irish pub village, amusement rides on August-Bebel-Platz, and the children's festival in the Promenade attracted over 100,000 visitors. The Roland group with Roland, Brockenhexe, Professor Zwanziger, and Alter Ebersberg, as every year, shaped the cityscape — a typical weekend of Northern Thuringia's largest folk festival.
Rolandsfest Nordhausen 2025
The 55th edition of the Rolandsfest once again confirmed the festival's status as the central summer event in Northern Thuringia. Three days were marked by live music on four stages, a vibrant gardeners' market, the traditional children's festival, and the popular Irish pub village, shaping the cityscape. The close connection between the city's history (founding charter 927) and festival culture — symbolized by the Roland group — remains the festival's hallmark. The beach volleyball tournament for the Stadtwerke Cup and the concerts in the festival tent rounded off the program.
