Overview

The 75th Plankirchweih in 2025 coincided with the 75th anniversary of the Volkstrachtenverein Röthlein. From June 28th to 30th, the festival weekend took place at the Trachtenplatz with the raising of the Planbaum on Saturday, festivities with the live band "Blaue Zipfel," and Plantanz on Sunday and Monday, accompanied by the Musikverein Hirschfeld and the Blaskapelle Heidenfeld.

The 2025 edition was a special year for the Volkstrachtenverein Röthlein: 75 years since the club's founding coincided with the annual Plankirchweih. The festival weekend ran from Saturday, June 28th, with catering and live music by the band "Blaue Zipfel," through Sunday, June 29th, with festivities and Plantanz, to Monday, June 30th, with the festival's conclusion and further Plantänze.

The tradition of Plantänze – waltzes, Rheinländer, Schottisch, Zipferle, and other Franconian circle dances – was maintained as every year. The "Planzehner" from participating guests once again benefited social and charitable projects. The anniversary also served as an occasion to look back at 75 years of tradition preservation in Röthlein.
