Overview

In 2025 too, the alleys, squares, and courtyards of Roding's old town transformed into an international festival backdrop on the first weekend of August. Several thousand visitors enjoyed live music, themed culinary offerings, and the special format of an Altstadtfest that focuses on a different world region each year.

Roding International 2025 continued the tradition maintained since 1998: On the first weekend of August, Roding's old town was designed according to an annual theme. Clubs, restaurateurs, and craft businesses took over individual stations, developing themed decorations, food, and music.

As in previous years, several thousand visitors gathered in the old town, many coming from the entire Cham district, from Regensburg, and the wider Oberpfalz region. The Burschenverein Roding 1883, with its Lederhosen, wooden tankards, and Burschen carriage, shaped the image of the festival. A TVA report spoke of a "parade of the century" at the Altstadtfest and the high visitor frequency.
