The Rock Kids Festival 2025 once again brought young musicians from St. Pauli to Spielbudenplatz. Live sets by young school bands, trash drumming workshops, and guest appearances by established Hamburg acts characterized the event — a neighbourhood festival that combines musical education and stage experience.
2025 Review
In 2025, the association St. Pauli Rock Kids once again transformed Spielbudenplatz into an open stage for children and teenagers. Between 2 PM and 6:30 PM, local young bands played their sets, while interactive stations with trash drumming and instrument try-outs ensured active audience participation. Guest appearances by established Hamburg acts provided highlights — a tradition that has shaped the festival since its very first edition.
The St. Pauli district in Hamburg-Mitte, through the festival, showcases a side of its character that is often overlooked by tourists: vibrant family culture and an active youth music scene.
