Edition 2025 — Ringreiten Joldelund
In 2025, the traditional Ringreiten also took place on the last Saturday in May. Riders from Joldelund and the surrounding villages of the Nordfriesland district competed against each other at the Grüne Weg festival grounds in the three classic disciplines of ring riding, skittles, and bicycle ring riding. The day before, the younger generation participated in the children's ring riding.
In 2025, the Joldelund-Kolkerheide Volunteer Fire Brigade continued the decades-long tradition and hosted the Ringreiten on the last Saturday in May. The competitions followed the classic schedule: horse ring riding in the morning, skittles, then bicycle ring riding in the afternoon, followed by the award ceremony and crowning of the King/Queen in the evening.
As is common throughout North Frisia, results are tracked in rotation with neighboring guilds—Goldelund, Bredstedt, Husum; riders often compete in multiple festivals per season.
