Overview

The Ringmauerfest 2025 in Waldkirchen was, as every year, the town's big civic festival: two days of live music, regional bars and food, a grand raffle with an attractive main prize, and free admission in the historic Ringmauerstraße. Clubs, hosts, and the town administration organized the festival together, attracting visitors from Waldkirchen and the entire southern Bavarian Forest.

The 2025 edition continued the long-standing tradition: opening on Friday afternoon, live bands at several points along the street, full swing on Saturday with a concert in the evening, and the raffle drawing with a high-quality main prize. The Ringmauerstraße as the festival backdrop — a cobblestone street along the old town fortifications, lined with old townhouses — gives the festival its unmistakable character.

The Ringmauerfest is one of the most important municipal summer highlights in the Freyung-Grafenau district and regularly attracts several thousand visitors from the region and neighboring Austria. Free admission, raffle tickets available in advance and on the festival day.
