Overview

The 18th edition of re:publica took place in May 2025 at STATION Berlin, once again gathering thousands of participants from politics, academia, activism, and the tech industry. Three days with hundreds of sessions, alongside TINCON Berlin, made the festival once again the most important European meeting point for the digital society.

The 2025 edition continued the unbroken tradition of re:publica since 2007, consolidating its role as a central industry and discourse hub for the digital society. More than 20 stages ran concurrently for three days with keynotes, panels, workshops, and maker sessions. The expo area and meetups connected the main program and the community.

Thematically, the 2025 edition focused on growing AI debates, discussions on platform democracy after the EU elections, and the question of how newsfluencer culture challenges traditional media. It thus laid the groundwork for the 2026 motto 'Never Gonna Give You Up' – a programmatic response to the growing unease about the state of the public digital space.
