Remscheider Maikirmes

The Remscheider Maikirmes 2025 was held, as in previous years, by the Remscheider Schützenverein von 1816 Korporation on the Schützenplatz at Stadtpark. Eleven days of Kirmes program between Walpurgis Night and Mother's Day.

On the spacious festival grounds, there were around nine large rides for adults and teenagers, as well as eight children's attractions. The two traditional fireworks displays — on the opening day and on the second festival weekend — were the pyrotechnic highlights. The Family Day with reduced prices and the Meet you Stars format complemented the program. Several hundred thousand visitors from Remscheid, the Bergisches Land, and the nearby Ruhr area passed through the festival grounds over the eleven days — the Maikirmes once again confirmed its reputation as the largest Volksfest in the Bergisches Land.
