Overview
In 2025, the Remlinger Eierlauf was held for the 287th time on Easter Monday, April 21. In the morning, the lads collected eggs and snacks, followed by a procession with a brass band to the sports field. The runner and collector were chosen by lot; while the runner sprinted to the distant stone and back, the collector gathered the 75 laid-out eggs. The day concluded with a dance event. The uninterrupted tradition since 1738 (with the exception of the World Wars) once again confirmed the special significance of this custom in the Würzburg district.
