Overview

The 2nd edition of the Regional Association of Cities Cultural Days took place in 2025 in Baesweiler — and thus in a different municipality than in 2026. The festival travels alphabetically through the member municipalities of the Aachen Regional Association of Cities. The second edition established the format with concerts and readings over several months and laid the groundwork for the upcoming third edition in Monschau, Roetgen, and Simmerath.

In 2025, Baesweiler was the focus of the Regional Association of Cities Cultural Days — the second edition after Alsdorf in 2024. The format, with over 20 events spread over three months, had already proven itself in the first edition; in 2025, it confirmed its viability.

With the third edition in 2026, the festival now travels for the first time to the southern part of the Regional Association of Cities: Monschau, Roetgen, and Simmerath in the North Eifel. The selection of these three municipalities — a historic cloth manufacturing town, the gateway to the Eifel, and a national park neighbor — creates a particularly attractive cultural landscape.
