Overview

The Recker Kirmes 2025 continued the decades-old tradition — three days of Westphalian folk festival in the town center of Recke, with the mayor's keg tapping on Saturday, morning pint on Sunday, Family Morning on Monday, and a grand fireworks finale. The Tecklenburger Land once again got its most traditional September folk festival, characterized by "Urgemütlichkeit" and barrier-free accessibility.

In 2025, the Recker Kirmes already confirmed its position as one of the most important folk festivals in the Tecklenburger Land. The classic schedule — opening on Saturday with keg tapping, family day on Sunday with morning pint, closing on Monday with Family Morning and grand fireworks — is the proven format. The municipality of Recke, as the organizer, adheres to "Urgemütlichkeit" as its trademark and ensures barrier-free accessibility, which is not a given at many comparable folk festivals.
