Gelterswoog, Kaiserslautern's largest local recreation lake, is usually a spot for swimmers, walkers, medieval markets, and family picnics. On Saturday, May 30, 2026, the area will transform into an open-air dance floor for a daydance format: Rave am See brings eight hours of electronic music from 2 PM to 10 PM directly to the water. The format belongs to a growing movement of daytime concerts and raves that are reforming the classic night format and appealing to an audience that wants to dance without driving through the night.

DJs Pappenheimer and Ozzy R

The focus is on two DJs from the regional and southern German electro scene: Pappenheimer and Ozzy R. Both will play a program that shifts between House, Techno, and melodic electro styles, consciously avoiding the extreme tempo and intensity ranges of the night for the daytime context. The sets will be curated over the eight hours to ensure a continuous development of atmosphere and energy, with calmer phases in the late afternoon and energetic sets in the early evening.

Bar, Food, and Seating

The format expands the pure concert with the aspects of an open-air lounge event. A bar with cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks will serve visitors; food stalls will offer street food specialties.
