Ratzeburg Island Summer — Edition 2025

The 2025 edition continued the initiative started the previous year by the City of Ratzeburg. The deck chairs and the small sandy area were set up on the market square and remained accessible until the end of August. As always, use was completely free, with one deck chair permanently reserved and accessible on the wooden platform.

Throughout the summer, the beach area was integrated into several market square events — the city's initiative, together with sponsors such as Volksbank Raiffeisenbank Ratzeburg, Restaurant Lavastein, Hentschel & Co. Immobilien, and the Bürgerstiftung, has established itself as a model example of actively used public space.
