Overview

In 2025, the island town of Ratzeburg once again transformed into a large festival ground for three days. The Guild of 1551 held its traditional parade and ceremonies through the old town. Live music, dancing, and regional gastronomy characterized the town festival.

Civic and Marksmen's Festival 2025

As every year, the Civic and Marksmen's Festival 2025 brought Ratzeburg's town life to a peak for three days. The Guild of 1551, with its historical insignia, marched through the island town, the proclamation of the king and festive honors took place before the assembled town, and live bands played in the town center in the evenings.

Those standing on the west side of the lake could see the historic silhouette of the town with its cathedral — on the island, the modern town festival pulsed. This extraordinary setting makes the Marksmen's Festival in Ratzeburg one of Schleswig-Holstein's most impressive town festivals. The festival will follow in 2026 from August 7th to 9th.
