Overview

The 2025 summer concert series of the Ratzeburger Dommusiken once again ran from May to August in the Lion Cathedral. Organ concerts, choir concerts, musical services, and gospel concerts offered a rich program of Bach, Schütz, French organ romanticism, and contemporary works — in the unique acoustics of the Romanesque Cathedral of Henry the Lion.

2025 Review

The 2025 summer Dommusiken in Ratzeburg reaffirmed its reputation as a staple in the Northern German classical summer calendar. Throughout the summer months, the Ratzeburg Cathedral Choir, guest choirs, and renowned organists presented a diverse program ranging from Renaissance polyphony, Bach cantatas, and French organ romanticism to contemporary sacred music.

The concert series has been initiated for years by the Ratzeburg Cathedral Choir under the direction of the Domkantorei and is organized in cooperation with the Evangelical Lutheran Cathedral Parish of Ratzeburg.
