QUEERFELD 2022 took place on July 30, 2022, as the festival's first edition at the Schlachthof Krefeld. The premiere already proved the concept: a queer open-air platform in the Lower Rhine region with drag shows, live concerts, and an aftershow party.
The first edition of QUEERFELD on July 30, 2022, at the Schlachthof Krefeld laid the foundation for the later repeat in 2026. Even then, the festival positioned itself as a spectacular stage show with LGBTQIA+ artists from all disciplines — from live podcasts to drag shows to live music. The concept was further expanded in 2026, including free seating instead of assigned tables.
