Queens & Flowers — Drag Summer Festival at the Botanical Garden Berlin

The 2025 edition built upon the successful 2024 premiere (with around 2,000 visitors) and established the festival as a fixture on Berlin's summer cultural calendar. The headliner program combined established Berlin drag stars like Kaey and Gisela Sommer with the four Drag Race Germany stars Tessa Testicle, Yvonne Nightstand, and Metamorkid on the main stage. The Drag Queen Reading Hour with Vivienne Lovecraft and Rachel Intervention offered children and families an age-appropriate version of the drag format. A live concert with Marcella Rockefeller, DJ sets, comedy contributions, and botanical tours rounded off the day's program. With support from the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district office and the Botanical Garden Berlin institution (as an establishment of FU Berlin/State of Berlin), the festival solidified its institutional anchoring in Berlin's southwest district in 2025 and prepared the 3rd edition in 2026 programmatically and organizationally.
