Overview

The 2025 Putbus Festival ran from May 29th to June 9th under the motto "On the Lightness of Being." The festival opened with the Prussian Chamber Orchestra under Jürgen Bruns; attendees enjoyed pianist Matthias Kirschnereit, the ensemble Mosatrïc, a "Magic Flute" workshop, children's programming, and the "Hören und…" (Listen and…) series.

Review of the Putbus Festival 2025

The 2025 edition took place from May 29th to June 9th at the Putbus Theatre and other venues in the town – under the motto "On the Lightness of Being."

The festival opened with a festive concert by the Prussian Chamber Orchestra conducted by Jürgen Bruns. The programme included a piano recital by pianist Matthias Kirschnereit with works by Brahms, Debussy, Chopin, Wagner, C. P. E. Bach, and Beethoven, performances by the Ensemble Mosatrïc, an interactive workshop on Mozart's "The Magic Flute," children's programming, and the popular "Hören und…" (Listen and…) series. In 2026, the festival will continue from May 14th to 25th.
