Overview

The Poppenrichter Kirwa 2025 took place in October 2025 at the village square. As in previous years, the Kirwabaum, brass band music, dance performances by the Kirwa couples, and regional specialties characterized the festival day. The organizer was the Kirwagemeinschaft M.-Poppenricht.

In 2025, the Poppenrichter Kirwa once again attracted families from Poppenricht and Amberg to the village square. The day began early in the morning, the Kirwabaum was already in place for the ceremony, and catering by the Kirwagemeinschaft and local clubs provided the culinary offerings.

Alternating between polkas, waltzes, and performances by dance groups, the typical scene of an Upper Palatinate autumn Kirwa unfolded. The mix of village familiarity and an open invitation to guests from the Amberg-Sulzbach region gave the festival its character.
