Edition 2025 — Pole Poppenspäler Tage

The 41st Pole Poppenspäler Tage 2025 continued the festival's international tradition: around 60 productions from around the world in Husum's old town, featuring marionettes, hand puppets, shadow theatre, tabletop puppets, and experimental object theatre. The volunteer organisers brought artists from several continents to the Storm city by the sea.

The 2025 edition once again confirmed the festival's reputation as Northern Germany's most important international puppetry gathering. Over ten days, the approximately 60 performances transformed Husum's old town into a stage — from classical marionettes to the avant-garde of object theatre.

Programme

The 41st edition followed the established format with an adult programme, a children's programme, special events, and encounters with artists. The detailed programme was communicated via pole-poppenspaeler.de and the printed festival booklet in August 2025.
