Edition 2024 — poetry on the road
The 24th edition of poetry on the road took place from June 23 to 25, 2024, with a preceding opening event on May 24, 2024, at the Theater am Goetheplatz. Poetry stars from around the world met for numerous events in Bremen, presenting the diversity of contemporary poetry.
At the opening evening, Maria Stepanova (Russia), Etta Scollo (Italy/Germany), Madame Nielsen (Denmark), Liu Xia (China/Germany), Michael Fehr (Switzerland), Manuel Troller (Switzerland), Koleka Putuma (South Africa), and Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin (Great Britain/Ireland) read and performed, among others. The further program included authors such as Durs Grünbein, Connie Palmen, Marica Bodrožić, Ronya Othmann, and Jaap Blonk — a cross-section of poetic approaches, languages, and forms.
