The 33rd edition of the Pößneck City Festival drew thousands of visitors to the city center around the 'schiefer Markt' in 2025. Stage concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings, a duck race on the Kotschau, a volleyball tournament for the City Festival Cup, and a Sunday with open shops formed the program — a weekend that shapes the social life of the city in the Saale-Orla district.
The 2025 City Festival followed the established format: two concert evenings on the main stage at the market square, with daytime programs featuring classic family elements in between. The duck race once again financed club projects, and the volleyball tournament brought together teams from Pößneck and the Saale-Orla district. On Sunday, shops offered extended opening hours, combined with the market — a tradition that makes the City Festival an annual pillar of Pößneck's economy.
