Edition 2025 — Platzer Kirmes

The Platzer Kirmes 2025 took place on the first weekend of July with the traditional program on the Rotdornweg village square. Rides, shooting gallery, duck fishing, homemade Reibekuchen and Kölsch, Sunday family day with the selection of the Kirmes Queen.

The 2025 edition of the Platzer Kirmes ran as usual on the first weekend of July. The Dorfgemeinschaft Moitzfeld e.V. managed all stalls on a volunteer basis, the atmosphere was family-friendly and well-attended — by both Moitzfeld residents and visitors from the surrounding Bergisch Gladbach districts of Bensberg, Refrath, and Schildgen.

Immediately after the event, the date for 2026 was traditionally set for the first weekend of July — expected to be Saturday, July 4th, and Sunday, July 5th, 2026. The village community reaffirmed its commitment to being a volunteer-run format without large marquee crowds and without a commercial focus.
