The PlattePlatte Festival will take place for the first time in 2026. In 2025, the concept was developed by Martin Maleschka and the city of Eisenhüttenstadt, artists were invited, and the legal and safety requirements were established.
Before the Premiere
The PlattePlatte Festival is a unique event, taking place for the first time in 2026. 2025 was the concept phase: Martin Maleschka developed the format, discussed the use of the prefabricated building at Mittelschleuse 9 with the city of Eisenhüttenstadt, invited artists from Germany and internationally, and arranged the legal requirements for the temporary occupation of a building before its demolition.
