Overview

The 2025 Plassenburg Open Airs took place in July 2025 in the Schönen Hof of Plassenburg Castle Kulmbach. Several concert evenings and cabaret events with national and international artists once again attracted thousands of visitors from Upper Franconia and all of Bavaria. Organizers Motion Kommunikation in cooperation with Tourism & Event Service Kulmbach.

Plassenburg Open Airs 2025

In 2025, the Plassenburg Open Airs once again marked a cultural highlight of the summer in Upper Franconia. The Schönen Hof of the Renaissance castle above Kulmbach hosted a diverse program of rock, pop, cabaret, and classical crossover.

The event series once again relied on the proven concept of a historic setting combined with a selection of top-class artists, which has made the series a firmly established fixture in the Franconian summer for years. Preparations for the spectacular 2026 edition, with Chris de Burgh as the highlight, began immediately after the season ended.
