Overview
The Plankenfelser Kerwa 2025 was celebrated on the Sunday after August 15th. Kerwabaum, dancing, catering, and the Kirchweih closing with a procession and Kerwapredigt characterized the festival.
In 2025, the Kerwasburschen and -madla of Plankenfels also celebrated the traditional Franconian Kirchweih on the Sunday after August 15th. With the erection of the Kerwabaum, dancing, catering, and convivial gatherings, the custom was maintained. The highlight was the Kirchweih closing with the procession of the Kerwasburschen and -madla and the humorous Kerwapredigt. The Kerwa once again confirmed its status as a living example of Franconian Kirchweih customs in the Franconian Switzerland.
